Press Release

Utah Foster Care (UFC) invites your family to learn more about adopting through foster care at events marking November as National Adoption Month. If you have questions about your qualifications or the process, these events are for you!

Each year, more than 600 children are adopted from foster care in Utah, with most of them adopted by their foster parents. Those foster parents include single parents and same-sex couples, as well as more traditional families.

“Adoption through foster care is one of the least expensive and powerful ways to grow your family,” said Mike Hamblin, UFC’s Director of Foster Family Recruitment. “You’re sharing your heart and home with a child who’s dealing with trauma, and making a huge difference in their lives.”

At each event, you’ll be able to interact with families who’ve been through the experience of fostering to adopt and can learn more about training from Utah Foster Care representatives.
