Water Resources Update Presented to Price City Council

A water resources update for the Mammoth-Cottonwood drainage was presented at the Price City Council meeting on Wednesday. The update provided the snow water equivalent as of Jan. 24.

According to the report, the snow depth has reached a total of 71 inches while the snow water equivalent was, at the time, 21 inches. The percent of average has reached 212%.

The Scofield Reservoir Water Content was also presented. As of Jan. 23, the reservoir’s elevation was at 7,595.72. The water had reached a total of 14,219 acre feet or 21.6% capacity.

Current outflow from the reservoir is 0 CFS as repairs and modifications have yet to completed on the dam outflow structure. It is currently anticipated that the project will be complete before the first of April.
