The inaugural Carbon County Fall ATV Ride drew special attention from well-known blogger Katie Arruda, who traveled to Castle Country with a friend to experience all that the area has to offer for themselves.
In Arruda’s recent blog post, she showcases her experience in the area with photos, personal stories and the like. Carbon County Office of Tourism specialist TIna Henrie had reached out to Arruda to personally invite her to Castle Country for the journey.
“I spent three days in this area and let me tell you… there is so much to do here,” Arruda shared. “To call this area a layover is a gross misrepresentation of some of Utah’s best landscapes and activities.”
During their trip, the duo spent time at local stock care races, hiked to a waterfall, took scenic desert drives, and visited popular mountain bike and ATV trails.
“In fact, there is so much to do in this area that Amanda and I had to divide and conquer some days in an attempt to really see what the area has to offer,” Arruda said. “Of course it can be hard to decide where to play in Utah as this large state has so much to offer for those who like to play outdoors. But, let me give you some advice… if you want to play in Utah on amazing trails, without the high prices or overcrowded trails, make this layover your final destination.”
Arruda raved about the trails throughout Castle Country as well as the area’s scenery in her post.
“It was such a great day taking in some of Utah’s best scenery with some of the kindest people I have met in this state,” she said. “Castle Country, this gorgeous area between Salt Lake City and Moab has some of the best ATV trails around… you just didn’t know about it.“
