The students of Wellington Elementary School competed in a school-wide spelling bee that took place at the school. The students had the opportunity to show off how hard they have been working on learning the spelling list.
A number of students competed until finally there were three left. These three were chosen as the first, second and third place winners of the bee. All of the participants were given certificates of achievements with the three finalists receiving two.
These three finalists will compete at the district spelling bee: Allena Ison in third place, Brooklynn Martinez in second and Kennedi Palacios in first place.
