Fourth grade students at Wellington Elementary participated in the school’s annual tin can cookoff Monday morning. The students prepared a dish of their choosing using a tin can and a Sterno (oil) burner to heat the food with adult supervision.
Dishes at this year’s event included bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, french toast, hashbrowns, pizza, grilled cheese and hot dogs.
The tin can cookoff has been a tradition at Wellington Elementary for over 20 years.
