Community members gathered with the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting at Willis Works Studios on Wednesday afternoon.
Willis Works Studios revolves around the work of local artist Terry Willis, namely her paintings of local landscapes. After relocating to Utah from Iowa in 1980, Willis has been painting scenes from Utah’s Castle Country in oil and acrylic images. She also creates glass etching, wood carving and metal work.
Various works from Willis will soon be on display at the Prehistoric Museum. From Aug. 29 through Sept. 28, the local artist’s work will be on display in the museum’s art gallery.
