Winter Storm Watch Issued For Portions of Emery County

The weather group has issued a winter storm watch for portions of Emery County. This means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. The alert mentions areas of heavy mountain road snow and periods of valley road snow, valid 4 PM today through 11 AM Sunday. Local roads seeing impact are the entire route of US-6 and the entire route of I-70. The alert states that this storm will be big enough that most routes in Utah will be impacted. Mountains could see accumulations of 10 to 20 inches. Winter driving conditions are expected across high elevation routes in the affected areas.
