The Emery County Archives, in conjunction with the Emery County Historical Society, is hosting a community yard sale to raise funds to digitize issues of the Emery County Progress. Those with items that can be donated are encouraged to contact Lori Ann at (435) 749-9367 or Suzanne at (435) 609-9757.

The yard sale will take place on Saturday, June 8 at the Huntington City Park. Members of the community are welcome to browse the offerings from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The fundraiser is being hosted to cover part of the matching grant secured by Emery County Archives to digitize microfilm reels from Emery County Progress issues spanning from 1940 to 2004. Once processed, these issues will be available for the public to access freely online.

Currently, the Emery County Progress has been digitized up to the year 1940. Emery Telcom and ETV News have supported the efforts of completing the digitization process and have pledged to provide funds in order to secure the grant.
