While Helper’s First Friday boasted a celebration for the Chinese New Year on Feb. 2, a small business owner also celebrated the grand opening of Three Little Llamas, a new storefront on the city’s Main Street.

Three Little Llamas is owned by Taryn Bunderson alongside her husband Cody. Taryn’s business takes over the former Toy Store & More, which was open during the holiday season last year. When the opportunity to take ownership of the store and keeps its door open year-round presented itself, the Bundersons jumped at the opportunity.

“I couldn’t be more excited or grateful that the opportunity fell into my lap at the perfect time,” said Taryn shortly after taking over the store. “I’m finally doing what I’ve talked about for years, I’m going to be a small business owner.”

The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce along with members of the community welcomed Taryn’s business venture with a ribbon cutting on Friday afternoon. The celebration was followed by a grand opening celebration featuring the store’s many unique toys and gifts.

“We would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for coming out to our grand opening and making it such a special day,” the Bundersons shared. “We are truly blessed and love our town and community. I already had to restock shelves and that felt amazing.”

Three Little Llamas features an array of gifts for all ages, from swaddling blankets for newborns to books and jewelry for adults. Customers can also find a wide array of Melissa & Doug toys, coloring books, coffee mugs and beans, socks and more. Taryn has prided the store on offering as many local products as possible, featuring items from Helper’s own and throughout Utah.

In February, Three Little Llamas will offer even more treats for Valentine’s Day, including handmade chocolates and other edible goodies.

Customers can visit Three Little Llamas, located at 208 South Main Street in Helper, Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store is also open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
