For 14-year-old author McKenzie Wagner, it’s never too late or too early to start following your dreams. Wagner, a Draper native, began reading at age four and wrote her first book “The Magic Meadow and the Golden Locket” by age seven.

Wagner also wrote the fantasy trilogy “Benotripia.” Now, she travels throughout the state sharing her story and inspiring elementary students to follow their dreams and pursue their passions.

Creekview Elementary students got a taste of Wagner’s personality and spunk when she visited for a special assembly. Students were able to share some of their passions and how they identify with the characters in the “Benotripia” series.
