Young Panthers Have Something to Prove

The Lady Panthers open their basketball season with a relatively young team this year. Zoey Kocks is the lone senior for Pinnacle, but they have more experience than you might think. Stephanie Sasser (Jr), Angel Welch (So) and Destany Andrews (So) all received a considerable amount of playing time last year. They will need to build on their experience in order to reach their goal of playing in the state tournament.

“Their biggest strength is that they are smart players, they have a high basketball IQ,” said head coach Mark Stuckenschneider about the girls. “If we play well against Green River and Whitehorse, we have a good chance to make state.”

Green River is always tough due to the rivalry between the two schools.

“We are a smaller team, we will need to run a fast-paced offense. Our season hinges on our speed and accuracy with our outside shooting,” Stuckenschneider concluded.
