Carbon County’s local branch of Zions Bank recognizes the importance of keeping a local profile and giving back to the businesses and organizations that are of major importance to our community.

Recently, the bank exercised this sentiment by presenting a donation of $2,000 to the Carbon County Food Bank. Local banker Erroll Holt stated that each year there is a specific budget where a donation to the food bank is pulled.

“We are glad to be able to help in any way that we can,” Holt stated.

The donation was presented to representatives of the food bank in the form of a check. Aubrey Jaramillo stated that the usual process when money is donated to the food bank is for the employees to go through the warehouse to evaluate their stock.

Once they discover what goods they are running low on or have ran out of, they then purchase those goods to ensure that those that utilize the food bank will receive them.

“Any donation helps,” Jaramillo stated.
