The Castle Dale City Council discussed several items at its recent monthly meeting.

Jason Ward, Jared Norton, Kyle Larsen and Jay Stilson spoke to the council about fees required for their traveling teams to use the ball fields in Castle Dale. After much discussion, the council agreed to allow the traveling teams to use the ball fields free of charge.

Lon Huntsman discussed plans for his Eagle project of improving the shooting range. He would like to add a new table that would accommodate both left and right hand shooters. The table is designed by shooters and it provides stability due to its weight.

Also at the meeting, a public hearing was held to discuss an increase in culinary water fees, purchasing water shares and charging a secondary wheeling fee.

The next Castle Dale City Council meeting will be on June 11 at the city hall located at 65 East 100 North.
