USU Eastern Press Release

Utah State Eastern men’s soccer lost to the Snow College Badgers 2-0 on Friday in Ephraim.

Snow got off to a good start in the first half by scoring in the first 12 minutes of the game. Harei Maeda scored an unassisted goal in the 11′ minute to put the Badgers up 1-0.

In the 29′ minute, the Badgers added another goal when Mitchell Pyle scored off a header from a throw-in.

“The possession was all in our favor and I thought for a good portion of the game we out played them. When we make stupid mistakes and give up some set pieces they are really good and find a way to score,” said USU Eastern head coach Ammon Bennett.

In the second half, the Eagles continued to struggle with fewer shots attempted and a player ejection that threw off the team’s formations.

The Eagles now have a 7-7 overall record and a 3-7 conference record with one week left of the regular season.

On Thursday, the Eagles will host Colorado Northwest followed by Salt Lake Community College on Friday to conclude the regular season. Both games this upcoming week will begin at 3 p.m. and will be broadcasted on YouTube or live.ksl.com.
