Emery hosted the Region 12 golf match on Thursday and was able to improve its season team score. The Spartans were led by Trevin Wakefield and Tayven Guymon, who finished with 87 and 90 strokes, respectively. Emery finished in fifth, however, with a score of 376.
Luke Williams from Grand had the best round of the day and shot an amazing 71. Bode Salas and Nick Olson preceded with 75 and 78 respective scores.
Grand make the biggest jump and took first in the match at 317. Richfield came in second with a team score of 323 and Carbon followed at 327. Carbon still has a comfortable lead in the region but Grand and Richfield are not going to let the Dinos run away with it.
