On Christmas evening, Wellington City Police Chief Rory Bradley received information regarding possible animal abuse at a nearby residence.

Bradley responded to the call, which regarded the witnessing of abusive behavior toward two puppies while they were taken outside. It was reported to Bradley that the caller had witnessed the male in question, Jordan Andrew Westerlund, age 35, acting in an aggressive and inappropriately damaging manner toward the young dogs.

Both puppies passed away as a result of their injuries and Westerlund was arrested and booked into the Carbon County Jail on Christmas night.

The Carbon County Attorney’s Office will screen the case and determine possible charges.
