On Coal Creek Road in Wellington this afternoon, a single-wide trailer was engulfed in flames.
According to Wellington City Fire Chief, Johnny Powell, the fire department received a call reporting a fire on Coal Creek Road just before 2:00 this afternoon.
Powell reported that “an unoccupied single-wide trailer was fully engulfed in flames upon our arrival.”
The owner of the property entered the dwelling in hopes of recovering some personal property before it was destroyed В He was transported to Castleview Hospital by ambulance and was treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
