Representatives from Emery Medical Center accept the ECBC’s Large Business of the Year award.
The annual Emery County Business Chamber banquet featured an evening of honoring businesses throughout the county as well as dinner, presentations and more.
The evening began with dinner catered by Fatty’s along with remarks from Matt Holton, the Director of Business Outreach for Senator Mike Lee. Holton gave a brief summary on the past year and the work being done in Lee’s office.
Next to step up to the mic was Ben Forstner, senior consultant at VisionBound International. Forstner used his time at the podium to stress the importance of customer loyalty and the impact it makes on businesses.
The awards portion of the evening then took place, honoring 10 businesses in Emery County in a variety of categories. The businesses that were honored are as follows:
Small Business of the Year – Ungerman Meats
Large Business of the Year – Emery Medical Center
Exceptional Employer – JN Auto
Customer Service Award – Magnuson Lumber
Tourism Award – Castle Valley Outdoors
Restaurant of the Year – Chow Hound
New Business of 2016 – Tine Designs
Agriculture Business of the Year – Magnuson Meats
Non-Profit of the Year – Department of Workforce Service
Community Appreciation Award – Desertview Federal Credit Union
Those in attendance also took time to recognize the 2017 board members before ending the evening with a raffle.
