The Emery Lady Spartans rebounded from a blowout loss to the Richfield Wildcats last week with a blowout of their own Thursday night against South Summit. Emery Sped out the gate in the first quarter and never let up, winning the non-region affair 71-25.
Camrey Johnson led all scorers in the game with 18 points, including three threes. Kacelyn Toomer chipped in 10. In all, 12 Lady Spartans scored at least one point in the game.
Emery gave up double digit points in only one quarter, the third, with South Summit notching 10. The Lady Spartans led at halftime 36-10.
Emery (1-1, 0-0 Region 15) will make the trip to Price Friday night to take on the Carbon Dinos (2-0, 0-0 Region 12) live on ETV Channel 10 at 7 p.m.
