Vintage Motor Company, in conjunction with Castle Country Hobby and Pawn, sponsored the 14th Annual Spring for the Children Poker Run that took place on Saturday morning.
This run, benefiting the Southeast Utah Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA), is hosted annually in order to raise funds for the local chapter. Chapter members use the funds for anything that they may need to assist in the bettering of local children’s lives.
The Bikers Against Child Abuse organization was formed in 1995 in Orem by a registered play therapist for children who worked daily with children affected by abuse. From there, the group has grown from its original chapter to a presence in over half of the states in the nation.
Bikers met at Vintage MC on Helper’s Main Street starting around 9:30 in the morning to begin the registration process. The entry donations were $25 per bike and $10 for a second rider. Kickstands were up after 10:30 a.m. and the bikers were welcomed back around 4:30 p.m. to prepare for a dinner that was hosted in Spring Glen Park.
The high hand was $300 and the low hand was $150 with a great amount of drawings and door prizes offered to all participants.
Alongside the aforementioned, sponsors included Allstate, Customer Electrical LLC and attorney Robert Oliver.
