The Carbon County Events Center played host to a large event over the weekend as the community was invited to attend the free Carbon County Home, Garden and Recreation Show.
Beginning at noon on Friday and ending at 7 p.m. that night, only to have the doors open again the next morning at 10 a.m., the show featured many amenities, fun and enlightening experiences for the whole family. The first 250 people each day were awarded a free swag bag, all in attendance could play “Price It Right” to win big and Friday night featured a showcase beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Many venues were set up on both days for perusal, purchase and interaction including but not limited to Big Don’s, Simpli Solar, Canyon Ice, Origami Owl, American Legion, LulaRoe, The Roofing Center, Sleepy Hollow, Cruise Planners and more.
The fun continued into Saturday as Sutherlands hosted a kids’ section. The first 200 children in attendance were able to make a free fairy garden to take home. Major prizes were given Saturday at 4 p.m. that featured many gadgets and appliances.
Many businesses and entities contributed to the show’s success, including major sponsors Hard Hat Furniture & Appliance, Southwest Plumbing, CleanTech, Superior Striping Inc., Gordon’s Nursery, Tony Basso GM, Continuous Resources LLC, Sutherlands, I.F.A, Riley’s Mobile Entertainment, Vivint SmartHome, Castleview Hospital, A. Johnson Heating, Take A Break, Carbon Emery RV, Bookcliff Sales, An Elegant Surface, A Reclaimed Mess and Marty’s Pawn (soon to be Castle Country Hobby & Pawn).
