The Jennifer Leavitt Student Center at USU Eastern plays host to a multitude of community events over the course of a year. Tuesday was no exception when the 2018 Eastern Utah Hope Summit took place. Beginning at 7 a.m. and concluding at 4:30 p.m., the day had a myriad of speakers and sessions for attendees to enjoy and become informed.
After a hearty breakfast that was provided to those in attendance, the day was kicked off by the first keynote speaker of the day, Kevin Hines. As a motivational speaker, wellness advocate, bestselling author and documentary filmmaker, Hines had plenty of information for the large crowd.
The day continued with a number of other speakers and presentations. Dr. Elizabeth Howell, M.D. is an Addictionologist Psychiatrist and hosted a plenary session. Attendees also had the chance to learn from Melanie Wallentine, Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing, M.D. Cam Williams and more.
