The Angel Baby Fund was created in March of 2016. This fund was born out of the need for a community support group aimed toward family and friends that have lost a baby to miscarraige, stillbirth, SIDs and more. Since that time, the organization has been able to assist eight local families emotionally and financially.
The fund is ran strictly through donations and fundraisers. One such fundraiser is the Angel Baby Walk that started in Spring of 2016. This year’s walk took place on the afternoon of April 8. Participants met at the Helper Pavilion near the walkway.
Light refreshments were served and t-shirts with the Angel Baby Fund insignia were available for purchase. Attendees then listened to a story and two poems that spoke of the loss of a child. Three balloons were then released into the sky. One balloon was pink for a lost baby girl, blue for a boy and white for those that were unsure of their child’s gender before the loss.
