A 6-year-old girl was life-flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital Tuesday evening after being struck by a car while trying to cross Highway 10 in Price.
The accident occurred at 5:23 p.m. in the southbound lane. The girl was first transported to Castleview Hospital before being flown to Salt Lake City.
Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. John Kelley said the girl was trying to cross the highway to a friend’s house.
“According to observations, it appears that the driver did not see the girl,” he said. Kelley then added that the accident is still under investigation.
Both the driver and the girl are from the Price area. Traffic was reduced to one lane for two hours following the accident.
