The Carbon High School baseball team continued its hot streak with an 8-2 win over Emery Wednesday, while the Lady Dinos continued their slide. The Dino baseball team has won four straight games and six of seven, overall. The Lady Dinos, on the other hand, have lost five-straight.

Dakota Cisneros remained perfect on the mound this season, picking up win number five in an 8-2 win over cross-town rival Emery. The Spartans struck first picking up a run in the top of the first inning, but then Cisneros went to work shutting down the Emery offense which only registered two hits on the day. The Spartans haven’t beaten the Dinos since 2009.

Payson’s Jaisha Webb homered twice and led the Lions over the Lady Dinos 14-3 Tuesday in Payson. Payson jumped on Carbon early, scoring six runs in the first inning and added three more in third and four in fifth to take the five-inning region victory.

Dino baseball will host the Delta (3-7, 1-1) on Wednesday before traveling to Delta on Friday to play the Rabbits. The Lady Dinos will take a trip to Manti (6-6, 3-0) on Wednesday for a non-region matchup with the Templars before taking on Delta (4-8, 0-2) Friday in Delta.
