Helper Junior High Students and sixth graders from Sally Mauro Elementary raised over $1,000 on Thursday in their FCCLA cake decorating competition. The event was held at Helper Junior High School and included a silent auction.
Categories ranged from under the sea, sports, staff, joke and seasonal. One hundred and two total students participated.
Winners from HJH:
- Grand Prize: Nizhoni Marasco and Haley Shepherd, under the sea cake.
- First Prize: Jordan Scoggins and Mariah Christiansen, four seasons.
- Second Prize: Brooklyn Dempsey, under the sea.
- Third Prize: Gwyneth Kardelis and Cherish Vigil, under the sea.
Sally Mauro:
- First Prize: Daniel Hyer and Zack Skaggs.
- Second Prize: Mason Rogers, seasonal.
- Third Prize: Jasmine Santi and Keesha Warson, Sports.
