September 8, the United Way of Eastern Utah will host their annual Day of Caring, giving residents a chance to show their community they care.

“The Day of Caring was established to promote the spirit of volunteerism in a community,” said Carol Wright, Campaign Coordinator for United Way of Eastern Utah.
Bill Maikranz, Director, said last year the event brought out over 200 В volunteers and this year they estimate В more.
” We are teaming up with many organizations this year and we hope to have over 750 volunteers,” Maikranz said.

The 2012 Day of Caring will include clean-up of the Helper walkway, landscaping В at Active Re-Entry, renovation of the new Carbon County Boys and Girls Club, and cleaning up Wood Hill.The Event begins at 7:30 Saturday morning withВ BreakfastВ at Fresh market, and will end with a BBQ lunch that afternoon.
