Culture Connection kicked off on Thursday at the Price Peace Garden with a concert from the Jeff Keele Band. Larry McKinnon played the drums, Jeff Keele, Brian Sherman and John Vanwagoner played the guitar and Bill Price played bass guitar. Vanwagoner and Keele also sang lead vocals. The band engaged in entertaining, playful banter between songs.
The band played original songs as well as some covers ranging from classic rock to modern favorites. Many members of the audience, young and old, took to the dance floor during the music. Next Thursday Anna Allen will perform acoustic, folk and blues songs.
The Price City Library continued a tradition during the event. They offered children’s books and magazines to the little ones who were too tired to dance during the concert. The library also invited parents and grandparents with small children to attend summer reading story times and tween time. Visit the library for more information.
Emery Telcom sponsored the event. Other sponsors were Castleview Hospital, Tony Basso Group, Price Mine Service, Loveless Ash, Sutherlands, Jones and Demille Engineering, USU Eastern, R & A Market and Happiness Within. Neil and Debbie Breinholt of Breinholt Horizon Audio were also recognized.
