Registration has begun for the 34th annual Women’s Conference hosted by USU Eastern. This year’s event will take place on Friday, April 5 at the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center in Price.
Motivational speakers from across the state have attended previous conferences and this year is no exception. Local resident Colleen Loveless, President and CEO of Loveless Ash, will speak about operating a successful business following personal adversity. Also speaking will be Meg Johnson. According to Eastern’s website, Johnson will discuss her positive outlook on life following a hiking accident that left her paralyzed.
During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to attend several different lectures. The lectures will include topics such as skin care, living with cancer, women’s health, and home repairs, among others. Lectures will be given by local community members and businesses.
Always a highlight at the annual conference is the announcement of the Outstanding Woman of Southeastern Utah award. Last year’s winner, Ann Anderson will also be in attendance and will welcome conference-goers. Anyone interested in participating in the conference can register online at www.usueastern.edu.
