It’s one thing to excel on the court, field, mat or swimming pool, but to do it while maintaining a near perfect grade point average is another.
Sixteen local athletes were named to various academic all-state teams, ranging from basketball to swimming. Four Carbon Dinos, 12 Emery Spartans and one Green River Pirate were on the teams.

From Green River: Cassidy Bastian, girls’ basketball.
The combined GPA of the teams to which these athletes were named was 3.970.
