Each spring, thousands of visitors join the Easter Bunny exploring public lands in the San Rafael Swell. This 2000-square-mile area of scenic sandstone, deep canyons, and expansive views offers something for everyone.
Please heed these few reminders to help keep this amazing Canyon Country healthy and clean. Pack out trash, stay on designated roads and trails, hike on rock and in washes – don’t bust the crust, and camp at least 30 feet from water to allow wildlife an opportunity to drink too. Carry plenty of water, bring food, proper clothing and equipment, maps, and be sure to tell someone where you are going. These simple steps will help ensure a fun and safe adventure filled with great memories.
Did you know that you can help monitor and protect your favorite trails in the Price Field Office just by spending time there? The BLM is seeking volunteers to monitor trails, count visitor numbers, and hand out maps and garbage bags to other visitors while reminding them to recreate responsibly.
In addition to Easter weekend, the BLM Price Field Office has volunteer opportunities nearly every weekend in the spring and fall. We thank the many volunteers that have lent a hand in trail building and site stabilization projects.
