For its end of the year concert, the CHS choir department treated attendees to a pops concert with music from the 80s to contemporary tunes.
Numbers such as “Proud Mary,” “Viva La Vida” and even “Africa” were performed by the department’s mixed choir, men’s choir, Musettes, concert choir and vocal jazz.
The concert also gave choir director Arthella Williams the opportunity to recognize the graduating seniors who have participated in choirs and award them with graduation cords. The students responded with a keepsake for Williams and also announced next year’s choir council, which consists of student representatives from each audition choir as well as several executive positions.
