Carbon School District Superintendent Steve Carlsen along with Lighthouse High School math teacher Wes Thompson took the stage at Culture Connection Thursday evening as the duo schooled the public with a lesson in good music.
The duo entertained the public for the evening with favorites across the decades including numbers by Billy Joel, Neil Diamond, Garth Brooks, the Everly Brothers as well as contemporary pieces by Lorde and even Britney Spears. Thompson’s daughter also joined the group for a select number of songs.
Two local favorites will take the stage next week as Sherrie Vlamakis and Kristy Woodhouse will take their turn on the stage with a night of classic country and blues.
The weekly concerts, presented by Price City, take place every Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Price City Peace Gardens, unless otherwise noted. The event is hosted with the help of sponsors Price City, Castleview Hospital, Loveless Ash, Sutherlands, Waste and Water Logistics as well as USU Eastern.
