The Carbon County employee of the month was announced during Wednesday’s commission meeting. The title was given to Lori Perez, Carbon County Deputy Clerk, by Alexis Horsley.
Horsley spoke highly of Perez, stating that she had been nominated by several people. Perez was recently presented with the task of liquidating all of the old equipment and fixtures from the old courthouse so that it would not find itself in a landfill. She spent many days in the empty and dark building but was able to work with cities and schools locally and from Utah County to ensure that nothing would go to waste.
“An employee like Lori is a credit to the county,” stated Horsley.
The commissioners also thanked Perez for all that she does for the county. Commissioner Jae Potter stated that Perez does a fantastic job in any task that she takes on.
