Friends, family and other various community members gathered at the baseball fields on Saturday for a very special reason: breast cancer awareness.
The Battin’ for Boobies Co-Ed softball tournament works in conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness month, October, to raise funds. The tournament, sponsored by Carbon County Recreation, drew in 20 different teams. These teams were a good mix of local and out of town players.
The two winning teams were local members. Gold went to Auto Farm while The Comebacks received silver. A total of $4,644.50 was raised at the tournament and all will be donated to United Way of Eastern Utah.
