Needing in win over Juab to keep pace with fellow Region 12 leaders, the Carbon Dinos were tripped up by the Wasps in another close game, 51-47, on Friday night in Nephi.
Carbon has lost its last two Region 12 contests by a combined five points.
Kyle Quinton scored 26 of his team’s 47 points. He’s scored over 20 in three of his last five games and has scored 26 or more in three games this season. Jamin Jensen scored in double figures for the fourth straight game, netting 11, including a 3-pointer. He has hit a three in all but three games this year.
After falling behind six points at the break, Carbon outscored the Wasps 29-27 the rest of the way.
Carbon (9-9, 2-2 Region 12) will have a week off before hosting North Sanpete (4-12, 2-1 Region 12) on Friday. The game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10 at 7 p.m.
