Facing its toughest opponent of the season, the Carbon Dinos faltered in the 3A Quarterfinals Thursday 67-39 to the Ridgeline Riverhawks in Logan.
With the loss, Carbon drops to the consolation bracket where it will play Stansbury on Friday at 12:50 p.m. Stansbury was upended by Desert Hills 62-55 in the first game of the day on Thursday.
Carbon beat Stansbury 45-42 back on Dec. 9 in Price.
Jamin Jensen led the Dinos with 11 points on 4-10 shooting. Chase Morgan had eight points, including 2-4 from behind the arc. Gage Daugherty chipped in seven points and Kyle Quinton had six.
