A two-vehicle accident resulted in a rolled propane tanker on Highway 10 near Emery Town on Monday morning.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at mile post 14 when a vehicle attempting to turn onto the highway hit the back of the tanker. The tanker then fishtailed before rolling on its side and coming to rest on the highway’s shoulder.
Traffic was impacted for some time while crews, including the Emery County’s Sheriff’s Office and HAZMAT crew, assessed the scene. Authorities reported that tank did not leak and no hazardous material was spilled.
The driver of the propane tanker sustained minor injuries from the incident. The driver of the crossing vehicle did not have any reportable injuries.
Names of the parties involved have not been released at this time.
