A group of Sally Mauro Bulls traveled to the Carbon County Animal Shelter on Monday to present the staff with a donation that the students involved in the Rising Raptors program had raised.
The students raised money for the animal shelter by creating and selling jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, rings and the like. The Bulls were assisted in the creating of the jewelry by Rising Raptors Program Leader Stephanie Richardson. They were also joined by site coordinator Kristin Keller.
Once the students had sold the jewelry, they pooled together the money, reaching over $100 that they presented to the shelter in the form of a check. After donating the money, the students were then treated to a tour of the shelter by the county staff.
