Ferron Elementary School fifth grader Natalie Pace was the overall geography bee champion at the school’s recent competition.
She was chosen from a field of 16 fourth and fifth grader finalists Thursday afternoon. The top three placers in the fifth grade were Natalie Pace, first, Charlie Hunt, second, and Acelyn Migliori, third. The top three finishers in the fourth grade were Mason Thornley, first, Jamison Christiansen, second, and Kaicee Behling, third. Natalie Pace will now take a test and, if she scores high enough, she will compete on the state level in March at Thanksgiving Point.
Thursday morning, the lower grades chose the top three places in grades one, two and three. First grade finishers were Derek Pace, first, Sawyer Hunt, second, and Walker Hyatt, third. The second grade top three were Paisley Jackson, first, Mason Waite, second, and Marshal Dewitt, third. Jett Winn, Garrett Childs and Kennedy Hunt were named the top three in the third grade.
