A local wrestler is looking to pin cancer by raising funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Part of the Wrestle for a Cure 2018 campaign, young wrestler Kruz Arroyo is gathering donations for Pin Cancer. The program benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in its goal of providing exceptional patient care and cancer research initiatives.
“The Wrestle for a Cure campaign gives both wrestlers and their teams an avenue to inspire awareness and raise funds for cancer research using the sport of wrestling,” the campaign’s website shares.
Individually, Arroyo has a goal to raise $1,000 for the campaign, which is hoping to gather $100,000 in donations this year. So far, the young wrestler has garnered nearly $600 in his efforts. Donations are accepted online through the Arroyo’s Pin Cancer page.
