Press Release
The month of November is designated as National Diabetes Month and Wednesday, Nov.14 has been designated as National Diabetes Awareness Day. Because there are so many people that are diabetic, not only nationally but also internationally, Lions International recognizes the concern and has made it a top priority along with sight conservation and other issues to help conquer this disease.
This year, to help local residents become more aware of the effects of diabetes, the Price Lions Club is working with Castleview Hospital, who is sponsoring a diabetes awareness dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. at the hospital.
The presenter at the workshop will be JoAnn Stout, diabetic educator for Castleview Hospital. This is a free event for those desiring to learn the definition of diabetes and how it is diagnosed and how making lifestyle changes can prevent diabetes. Call Jenn Colosimo at (435) 613-6147 to RSVP.
