The inaugural show and sale of the San Rafael Art Guild featured the works of five local artists at Miller’s Landing on Friday and Saturday evenings. The five artists included KaeLynn Winn, Eldon Holmes, Tiffanie Justice, Chase Jensen, Sharon Bunderson and Jan Fowler.
The pieces of art featured metal, bronze, acrylics, pencil, pottery, oil and illustrations for children’s books. These talented artists were on hand to meet the onlookers and many items were for sale. Music for the event was provided by Route 10 band.
“The San Rafael Art Guild Show was a great event,” Winn said. “I appreciate all of the support and hard work. Thank you all and let’s do it bigger and better next year!”
Recently organized, the guild provides a place for local artists to come together for support, learning, teaching and inspiration. Some goals include becoming a resource for the creative and artistic needs of the community, inspiring artists to develop their talents, expanding skills of local artists in creating, marketing and appreciating art, providing support and opportunity for local youth interested in art, and helping people recognize the positive effects creative pursuits have for individuals and communities.
Classes are hosted at Fowler’s Country Store in Ferron.
