Polley Myrna Willson Hunt

Polley left her earthly family and home to join with her parents, brothers and friends in their heavenly home on Monday, May 6, 2019.

Polley is the oldest daughter and third child of Myron and Ada Marie Winder Willson.  She was born 19 July 1936 in Elmo, Emery County, Utah.

Polley loved to crochet and crocheted many works of art such as:  alter cloths and “The Good Shepherd” and “The Last Supper”.  She designed many of her own patterns.  She loved the out of doors, enjoyed trips to the mountains for the scenery and wildlife.  Polley was a people person and knew how to make people feel special.  She was loved by all who knew her.

Polley married Elvin E Hunt 23 August 1952.  They were later divorced.  Polley moved to Englewood Colorado in the early sixties and has resided there until April this year.

She worked as a waitress for many years and as a sales person at Joslins Department Store where she was awarded many top sales awards.  The store later merged with Dillards where she worked until she retired.

Polley is survived by her sons: Allen Junior Hunt (Nancy) Jerome ID, Paul Lynn Hunt, Provo, UT and Bruce Kay Hunt , Twin Falls ID.  Three grandchildren, five great grandchildren,  three step-grandchildren,  four step-great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild.

Two brothers:  Marvon  Ellis Willson (Lou Jean)  and Leland Wilbert Willson both of Wellington UT.  Two sisters Lana Lucinda Willson Christian (Raymond), Escalante, UT  and Aurelia Beth Willson Smith, Stansbury Park, UT and many nieces and nephews.

Polley is preceded in death by two brother and their wives:   Lewie Zera Willson and wife, Bonnie;  Pattie Bertrin and wife Kay;  a sister-in-law Louise Willson wife of brother Leland;  and a brother-in-law Alan Smith, husband of Aurelia.

A special thanks to her son, Paul,  who gave up his employment and life as he knew it to become her 24/7 caregiver for the last four plus years.  Being constantly by her side, seeing her through the many challenges that arose  watching a parent go from self-sustaining to total dependency on someone else.  Bless you Paul!  Thanks also to the hospice caregivers in Englewood Colorado and Provo UT.

Burial will be in the Elmo, City Cemetery, Elmo, Emery County, Utah under the direction of Larkin Mortuary of Salt Lake City, Utah.  Graveside services set for Friday,  May 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm. with a viewing held prior at 12:30 p.m. at Elmo Ward 170 East Main Street, Elmo, Utah 84521.
