After a frustrating season opening loss to Tintic last week, the Pinnacle Lady Panthers bounced back with a four set win over non-region competitor Dugway. The scores were 28-26, 25-17,18-25 and 25-19.
Unlike last week where the Panthers jumped out to a big early lead and eventually dropped the match, Pinnacle started slow and had to fight hard to take the first set in the match. The play grew more solid as the match went on and the Panthers posted their first win of the season and are currently sitting at 1-1.
Coach Heidi Kay was very pleased with the outcome. She also feels like the team has made a lot of progress this year. “We are playing much more as a team than last year. The girls have been playing together since junior high. They are talking and communicating together on the court and that will go a long way.”
