The Panther volleyball team took to the court on Aug. 29 against Escalante at home. Although it was a close game, Pinnacle fell short against the visiting team with a three game score of 24-26, 15-25 and 25-27.
“It was a good match and we stayed close, but we just couldn’t finish. Game two was not as close because I was moving players in and out and trying some different things,” explained head coach Heidi Kay.
Although the Panthers lost this match up, plenty was gained from the game against Escalante. The girls were able to try new positions, play with their teammates in a new way and work on different playing strategies. Coach Kay was also able to learn what will work for the team and what won’t.
The experiences learned from the game on Aug. 29 will be put to good use when Pinnacle travels to Wendover this Thursday for another non-region game.
