Press Release
Carbon County Tourism was recently awarded 100% of its 2019 Co-Op Marketing grant request of $50,000 from the Utah Office of Tourism.
Tina Henrie, Carbon County Tourism Specialist, applied for funds to highlight Carbon County’s new branding to include a new visitor guide, destination website, trade show booth and social media campaign. She submitted an application and in July she interviewed with the Co-Op Committee in person.
“I am thrilled to be recognized by the board and grateful to receive this reward on behalf of Carbon County,” Henrie said. “Myself and many others have been working tirelessly on the tourism rebrand and destination plan and this news is just one payoff from that work. There is still more to be done and I am excited for the future.”
The 2019 Co-Op Marketing is a partnership between Utah Office of Tourism and Utah’s local destination marketing organizations. Applying for co-op dollars is a competitive process and includes identifying measurables that show a return on investment through the state. It is a 1:1 matching fund and applications are only accepted once per year.
