Community Nursing Services (CNS) entered the weekend with a bit of fun on Friday with a grand re-opening celebration and ribbon cutting. Members of the community were invited to the event to tour the newly-construction respiratory division of CNS and meet the organization’s new DME Manager and Patient Care Coordinator, Carlos Arroyo.

“Carlos comes to us with the knowledge, integrity and honesty that CNS has taken pride in providing to our community for the past 91 years,” staff members shared.

Born and raised in California, Arroyo and his family relocated to Huntington when he was 15. It was there that Arroyo met his wife, Brittnie, whom he shares two children with. While Arroyo began his adult life working side by side with his late father in the coal industry, he always knew from early on that he wanted to work in the medical field. Most recently, he was employed as a surgical technician for Castleview Hospital.

“He excelled in his position and was constantly recognized for his patient care and work ethic,” CNS shared.

In his new role with Community Nursing Services, Arroyo will manage the durable medical equipment (DME) while working closely with patients in Carbon and Emery counties to ensure they receive the best care possible. Arroyo is also fluent in Spanish and available to speak with any Spanish-speaking members of the community about the services provided by CNS.
