Manti came into town on Friday to take on the Spartans. It was a quiet game until Emery erupted with seven runs in the third inning. Kaejha Johnson and Madison Childs each doubled in the inning.
Again, neither team could get anything going offensively. Once more it was Emery that broke through in the sixth. Tylee Norton singled home Taija Olsen and then Childs walked it off with a three-run blast to left as the 10-run rule went into effect. Emery blanked the Lady templars 11-0.
Childs was an RBI machine, going 2-3 with six ribbies in the contest. If its even possible, she was more effective in the circle. She pitched a complete game and only allowed one hit and one walk. She also struck out 11 batters, averaging nearly two each inning.
