The final week of the season was not much better for the Pirates, who have struggled to find consistency on the diamond. Green River fell to Panguitch 17-0 on Wednesday and then lost both games of a double header on Friday against Piute (11-0, 8-1).

Antonio Macias had the most consistent week at he plate, logging a hit in each contest. Errors continue to be a problem, however. The Pirates totaled 17 in three games with a high of eight in the second game versus the Thunderbirds.

The first round of the 1A state baseball tournament begins on Friday. Green River (1-18, 1-15) will face Tinitc (8-11, 4-0) in the opening matchup.
